Meriden Police: One person shot at Colony Street bar

MERIDEN — Police are investigating after a man was shot at a bar on Colony Street early Saturday. The man suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries.

Officers were approached by several people in the area of 105 Colony Street just before 2 a.m. about a shooting at 105 Restaurant and Lounge.

Police said a 29-year-old man had already been transported to Midstate Medical Center by an unknown person or persons when officers entered the bar. The man was reported to have been shot once in the neck. He was transported by Life Star to an area trauma center.

Police said no one else appeared to have been injured.

Police said they may have extra patrols in the area and the bar will most likely be closed tonight.
