During the pre-festival weekend, all parking will be on-site.
Food Truck Fest
The third-annual Meriden Pre-Daffodil Weekend Food Truck Fest will be held at Hubbard Park on Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. There will be more than 25 food trucks, including Roscoe’s Traveling Smokehouse, Paradise Island Deli & Cafe and Thai Kitchen.
Daffodil tag sale
The Daffodil Tag Sale will be held Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. under the festival tent. Hundreds of household items will be for sale. The tag sale is branded as the largest in the state.
Carnival rides will be open Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Individual tickets will be available and wristbands cost $25.
The 18th annual Meriden Rotary Club fun run and 5K road race will be held Sunday. The fun run starts at 9:45 a.m. and the road race begins at 10 a.m.
DAFFODIL FESTIVAL WEEKEND (APRIL 29, 30)
Parking will be available at Westfield Meriden Mall, Platt High School, Lincoln Middle School, Meriden Enterprise Center and Wilcox Technical High School. Guests will be transported to and from Hubbard Park via shuttles, which run from 8 a.m. through 9 p.m. on April 29 and from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on April 30.
Handicap parking will be available at Westfield Meriden Mall.
Dozens of vendors will be at the craft fair, which runs from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on April 29 and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on April 30.
Several local organizations, including the Boys and Girls Club, Meriden Kiwanis Club and multiple city churches will be selling food throughout the festival. Items include steamed cheeseburgers, kielbasa sandwiches, homemade chicken and waffles, and turkey legs.
Christine Ohlman and Rebel Montez will co-headline the festival with Kal David and Lauri Bono.
