Woman facing new weapon charge in connection to search warrant served by Meriden police

MERIDEN — A woman arrested after Meriden police seized over three pounds of cocaine and two pounds of heroin from a Rocky Hill apartment is facing a new charge.

Tiffany Morehead, 42, of 98 Cold Springs Road, Building 300, Apt. C104, Rocky Hill, was charged Friday with theft of a firearm. She was charged on June 5 with operating a drug factory, possession of narcotics with intent to sell, two counts of possession of narcotics within 1,500 feet of a day care, possession of drug paraphernalia and theft of a firearm.

Morehead was arraigned on the new charge in Meriden Superior Court on Monday. Her bond was set at $250,000.

On April 13, Meriden police served a search warrant at Morehead’s apartment with assistance from Rocky Hill police, according to Morehead’s arrest warrant. Along with drugs and drug paraphernalia, police found two handguns. One of the guns was reported stolen from Hartford, the warrant said. Police eventually determined the second gun was stolen in Terryville, the warrant said.
