Man killed in Sunday night motorcycle crash in Meriden

MERIDEN — Police continue to investigate a motorcycle crash Sunday night that killed a city man.

A 2002 Harley Davidson motorcycle was traveling south on Cook Avenue, near New Hanover Avenue, when it veer off the right side of the road. The driver, Edward Delucia, 47, of Meriden, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. The crash occurred about 9 p.m.

Police want to interview a second motorcyclist who witnesses say was riding with Delucia and left the scene before police arrived. Lt. Tom Cossette said the man is described as having gray shoulder-length hair and was last seen traveling north on Cook Avenue. His motorcycle reportedly has a white gas tank.
