New Vanacore Field structure to be built

Record-Journal

North Haven will utilize a $500,000 STEAP grant and additional funds from the New Haven Building Trades Council to build a new concession and locker room facility at the Vanacore Field complex.

The plan, presented by Director of Public Works Lynn Sadosky, was approved by the Planning & Zoning Commission Monday, Sept. 11.

The project required P&Z approval because it will be built in a different location from the current 800-square foot concession stand, Sadosky said.

The foundation of the 4,800-square foot facility will be constructed this fall. The project will be completed next spring.
