Proceeds go to The Petit Family Foundation and The Plainville Community Food Pantry. Saunders said the goal is to raise $10,000 for each charity.
The event has raised a total of more than $100,000 for charities since 2012.
The fly-in and car show provides people the opportunity to view planes and helicopters while seeing a variety of old and new vehicles.
This year, Saunders said modern cars are encouraged to participate. A few years ago a Tesla was featured at the event.
Classics will also be on display. Cars can join the day of the show.
The event starts at 10 a.m. with a chance for people to sign up for a helicopter ride.
Activities for kids like carnival rides and entertainers are also offered. The band The Curl Daddy’s will be playing live music throughout the event.
“People are surprised at what we actually have at the airport in Plainville,” Saunders said. “There’s a lot to see.” The rain date is June 11. More information can be found at http://plainvillewingsandwheels.com/
