PLAINVILLE — A pilot suffered minor injuries after a Cessna crashed near Robertson Airport late Monday morning.

The crash was reported around 11:24 a.m. at Carling Switch, 60 Johnson Ave., said Lt. Eric Peterson, police spokesman. A 1981 Cessna 172 crashed behind the business, which is adjacent to the airport.

Manfred Forst, the pilot, was taken to the Hospital of Central Connecticut with reported minor injuries, Peterson said.

The Federal Aviation Administration responded and is investigating, Peterson said.

In an earlier version of this story, authorities described the incident as an unscheduled landing due to a fuel leak and said there were no reported injuries.
