SOUTHINGTON — A lane was closed and traffic was backed up on Interstate 84 westbound Thursday due to a medical call.
The state Department of Transportation initially labeled the incident on its website as “police activity.”
Sgt. Eric Haglund, a state police spokesman, said the response was due to a medical call.
“Nothing criminal,” he said in an email.
There was no further information on the medical call.
About 5:08 p.m., DOT reported the right lane was closed between Exits 30 and 29 for police activity. Traffic was delayed beyond Exit 31. The incident was cleared by 6:30 p.m.
