2 teens seriously injured in Middletown crash


MIDDLETOWN — Police say a car carrying two teenagers has crashed in Middletown, leaving the driver and passenger with serious injuries.

Police say investigation showed that the car was heading south on Millbrook Road when it failed to negotiate a curve at about 1:30 p.m. Saturday. That forced the vehicle off the roadway before it struck a tree head on.

The two young men were taken to Hartford Hospital for treatment of apparent serious injuries. Police say they are both 19 years old. Authorities were withholding their names because their families had not been notified.

Police are investigating the crash. They ask anyone who witnessed or has information about the accident to contact investigators.
