Homeowner returns, finds intruder taking
a nap in bedroom
WALLINGFORD — A Meriden woman is due in court today, accused of breaking into a house, fixing a snack and taking a nap in one of the bedrooms, police said.
Police Sgt. Joe Cafasso said the homeowner returned home Oct. 13 to find a woman asleep in a bed.
The intruder had forced her way into the house, damaging a door, Cafasso said, and had also eaten some food.
The homeowner did not know Magnani, Cafasso said.
Magnani, 33, of 160 Franklin St., was charged with first-degree burglary, second-degree criminal mischief, sixth-degree larceny and simple trespass.
She was held in lieu of $2,500 bail.
