Wallingford man faces narcotics charges

WALLINGFORD — A town man faces narcotics charges after police found him with cocaine in bowling alley parking lot.

Kenneth Frye, 52, of 210 S. Whittlesey Ave. was arrested Thursday and charged with sale of narcotics, possession of narcotics, sale of marijuana, interfering with police and possession with intent to sell.

Lt. Marc Mikulski, police spokesman, said detectives from the Narcotics unit had secured a warrant for Frye based on an investigation. Frye was found in the parking lot of Brunswick Colony Lanes, 600 S. Colony Road, Mikulski said. Frye was taken into custody after a struggle with police, Mikulski said. Officers found two packets of cocaine on Frye at the time of his arrest, Mikulski said.

Detectives served a search warrant on Frye’s home and found prescription pills including Oxycodone, which Mikulski said are highly abused and have a street value of $1 per milligram. Police also found less than half an ounce of marijuana and $1,400 in cash, Mikulski said.

Frye scheduled be arraigned in Meriden Superior Court on Friday.
