Police looking for driver after early morning rollover

SOUTHINGTON - Police are looking for the driver after a car rolled over on West Street after midnight.

Sgt. Jeffret Dobratz, police spokesman, said the call came in about 12:36 a.m. for a car rolled over in the middle of the road on West Street near Ridge Road. When police arrived on the scene, the driver had fled the area and a K-9 search was done, but without results. The case is listed as an active investigation, Dobratz said.

Connecticut Light and Power responded to the scene and secured one utility pole that had been struck by the car, Dobratz said. Southington fire crews also responded to the scene, Captain Thomas Donnelly said.
