Flash Flood warning in effect this morning


The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood warning for Connecticut in effect until 9:30 a.m.

Up to three inches of rain has fallen in parts of the state with another one to two inches of rain possible. Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small creeks, streams, highways and underpasses.

A flood watch will be in effect until 6 p.m. on Wednesday.
