Weather Alert in effect

The National Weather Service has issued a weather warning in effect today. A wind advisory is in effect until 6 p.m. tonight.

There is also an enhanced risk for fire today. Winds up to 30 miles an hour with low humidity result in “conditions favorable for the spread of brush fires.” Residents are advised to keep vehicles out of grassy areas and make sure cigarettes are disposed of properly.
