Burke aces 8th at The Farms


WALLINGFORD — Using a 6-iron, Bob Burke drained a hole-in-one Saturday on the 179-yard, par-3 8th hole at The Farms Country Club.

Burke was playing with Mike Valenti, Bill Simione and Rick Gesseck.

In other action, The Farms played a Pinehurst on Friday. Joe and Deb Nardini teamed with Todd and Dawn Mahoney to post low gross on the front nine with a 30. A 31 was low gross on the back nine, shot by Toby and Karen Brimberg in combination with Dave and Cheryl Melillo.

In net scoring, a 24.1 carded by Jon and Dawn Kaplan and teammates David and Vicki Stone was low round on the front nine.

A low net of 22.3 on the back nine was posted by Alex and Corinne Ross and Chris and Alison Derham.
