It’s Rocco in a photo finish at the Bowl

WATERFORD — Keith Rocco has won his share of SK Modified victories on Connecticut’s short tracks, but never by this close a margin.

In a photo finish, the Wallingford driver edged Ledyard’s Tyler Chadwick in Saturday night’s SK Modified feature at the Waterford Speedbowl. The margin of victory after 35 laps: 0.001 seconds.

The win was Rocco’s seventh in 17 Modified races this season at Waterford and it extended his hold on first place in the point standings.

Rocco also leads Waterford’s Late Model division.

In Saturday night’s 30-lap race in that class, Rocco placed second behind Berlin’s Jason Palmer.
