Wallingford 11, Meriden 6: Wallingford Post 187 exploded for five runs in the decisive fifth inning, powered by a Sam DeMaio three-run double.

DeMaio finished 2-for-5. Blake Battiste was 3-for-5 with three runs, a double and a stolen base.

Mitch Soldi earned the win in relief for Post 187.

Starter Vinny DeMaio tossed the first four innings and allowed one run in a no-decision.

WALLINGFORD TWILIGHT

Black Sox 7, Total Renovations 3: John Filip tossed a complete-game five hitter, allowing no earned runs, to lead the Black Sox to the victory at West Side Field.

Mike Capone played a solid shortstop and contributed to the offense with an RBI double and two runs scored. Chad Sweeney went 2-for-3. He doubled and scored a run.
