Guodace: an athlete for all seasons

MERIDEN — Wilcox Tech senior Dan Guodace was a team of one this spring competing with Maloney boys track and field. Due to his excellence on the track and academically, he was selected as one of Wilcox Tech’s Record-Journal Scholar Athletes for the spring 2014 scholastic season.

Guodace, a captain of the Indians football and basketball team, capped his career by winning the javelin championship in the Constitution State Conference. He also competed in discus.

“He is the epitome of a scholar-athlete,” said Wilcox Tech co-director of athletics Steve Wodarski.

“He played all 12 seasons at Wilcox. He is a leader and it showed in his captaincy on the football field and basketball court.”
