I91N now open between exits 20 and 21 after morning shut down

CROMWELL — Interstate 91N is now open between exits 20 and 21 after a tractor trailer accident caused delays into Meriden and Wallingford this morning.

The accident was reported to the Department of Transportation at 6:43 a.m. A tractor trailer flipped and was on it’s side across the lanes. As of about noon, the highway was opened, state police said.

Traffic was at a complete stop, with backups into Meriden and Wallingford. State police said there are no injuries, but there was a small fuel spill. The highway remained closed until the tractor trailer was moved by the tow trucks, state police said.
