Wallingford Board of Education lacks quorum

School board lacks quorum in Wallingford

WALLINGFORD — The Board of Education met Monday night, but didn’t take any action on a number of items because not enough members were present.

Board members Chet Miller, Christine Mansfield, Michael Votto, Joe Marrone and Chairwoman Roxane McKay were present at the start of the meeting. Kathy Castelli, Jay Cei, Michael Brooder and Patrick Reynolds did not attend. Mansfield had to leave the meeting early for family reasons, leaving an absence of a quorum.

The Board of Education was scheduled to discuss various committee reports, including the Lyman Hall athletic complex improvements. The issues will be addressed during the board’s next meeting in January.
