Man injured in car vs. tree crash on I-91 N in Wallingford last night

WALLINGFORD — A man was injured in a crash on Interstate 91 N between 14 and 15 late last night.

Fire Lt. Kevin Bouchard said the accident happened about midnight Sunday night and involved one car going into a tree. Fire crews had to cut off the roof of the car to extricate a 30-year-old man, Bouchard said. The man was taken to Hartford Hospital for treatment, Bouchard said. Two lanes of the highway were closed for a short time, Bouchard said.

No other injuries were reported, Bouchard said.
