SOUTHINGTON — Firefighters extinguished a truck fire on Mount Vernon Road early Wednesday night.

One person was taken to Saint Mary’s Hospital in Waterbury for treatment, according to fire officials.  

The incident occurred near 396 Mount Vernon Rd. around 6:10 p.m. No further details were available.
