BERLIN — Police continue to investigate gunfire on High Road that damaged a vehicle last week.

Around 1:30 p.m. on Dec. 2, officers responded to the area of High Road and Atwood Street after receiving a report of gunshots.

The driver of the vehicle struck told police that multiple gunshots were fired by the occupant of a white Infiniti Q50 while both vehicles were traveling north on High Road, Deputy Police Chief Chris Ciuci said.

According to the police, the suspect vehicle continued north on High Road. Police have not yet located the vehicle.

There were no injuries, Ciuci said, adding that the incident “appears to be random and not targeted.”

Ciuci added that on Nov. 26, a white Infiniti Q50 with CT License Plate number AL16081 was stolen from a Berlin home. He said it’s unknown if the stolen vehicle was involved in the gunfire incident.

Anyone who has information, including video of the incident, is asked to contact Detective Colin Gaffey at 860-828-7080 or cgaffey@berlinpd.org.
