BERLIN —Police are investigating after someone in a vehicle fired shots at another vehicle on High Road today.

Police received 911 calls reporting shots fired around 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, Deputy Chief Chris Ciuci said in a statement. Officers responded to High Road at Atwood Street and learned a white Infiniti Q50 and another vehicle were being driven north on High Road, Ciuci stated.

Multiple shots were fired from the Infiniti toward the other vehicle. The Infiniti continued north on High Road and has not been found by police, Ciuci said. There were no injuries reported but there was damage to the other vehicle.

The incident appears to be random and not targeted, Ciuci said. Police noted that on Nov. 26 a white Infiniti Q50 was reported stolen from a Berlin home and as of Thursday it has not been recovered. Police said it is unknown if the stolen vehicle is connected to the shooting incident at this time.

Detectives are investigating an anyone with information or video of the incident is asked to contact Det. Colin Gaffey at 860-828-7080 or cgaffey@berlinpd.org.
