BERLIN – Local business owner Nia Petaway has always been interested in health and wellness.

Now she's sharing her passion with the public.

Petaway's shop, Organic Dose, offers smoothies, signature bowls, mushroom coffee, teas, elixirs, and "other herbal essentials to nourish the mind, body, and spirit."

Located on Webster Square Road, Organic Dose opened back in the fall and celebrated its ribbon cutting on Sept. 28, 2022. 

“I want to give my customers something that tastes good but is healthy too. This really caters to people who want to try something different," said Petaway.

“I’ve always loved Berlin because it's so centrally located," she added. "I love the people in this town.” 

Born and raised in Meriden, before opening Organic Dose, Petaway worked in a prison.

Economic Development Director Chris Edge, for one, is glad Petaway moved on from that job.

“Another amazing female entrepreneur who decided to launch her dream here in Berlin,” Edge said.

Organic Dose, 156 Webster Square Road, is open Tuesday through Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Orders can be placed via toasttab.com/organic-dose.
