BERLIN – The town is inviting all children, ages preschool to second grade, to visit Santa and his elves on Monday and Tuesday.

Hosted by the Parks and Recreation Department, the Visit with Santa will take place 6 to 7.30 p.m. both days at the Community Center, 230 Kensington Road.

It will be a free event but visitors are asked to bring a donation that will be used for the town’s Food Pantry. Items needed include mayonnaise, jelly, peanut butter, canned fruit, pasta sauce, macaroni and cheese, and snacks, such as cookies, crackers, and granola bars.

Due to COVID-19, the department will not give away treats while children are waiting for Santa, but each child will receive a bag with treats and a small toy after their Santa visit. Anyone who is not vaccinated will be required to wear a mask.

For more information and additional questions, call the Department at 860-828-7100.
