Police: Men found with over 30 pounds of marijuana during traffic stop in Berlin

BERLIN — Two New Britain men and one Newington man were charged Tuesday night after police said they found approximately 37 pounds of “suspected marijuana” in their vehicle. 

Stevie Javon Clark, 42, and Nieson Homar, 40, both of New Britain; and Luis J. Vallejo, 41, of Newington, were all charged with possession of narcotics and possession of narcotics with intent to sell. 

On Tuesday night at approximately 6:30 p.m., police conducted a motor vehicle stop on the exit 22 on ramp to Route 9. Police searched the vehicle and found 37 pounds of narcotics. 

All three were released after posting $10,000 bond each. Clark was remanded to the state Department of Corrections by parole officials.
