Berlin resident caps 32-year military career



First Class Sgt. Timothy Austin, of Berlin, retired from the United States Army on Jan. 28 after 32 years of service.

A graduate of Wooster College (Ohio) and Fort Sam Houston (Texas), Austin served three tours overseas; two in Iraq and one in Kuwait.

Austin is the son of Carroll and Ann Austin of Berlin. He will make his home in Cary, N.C.
