Y child care programs available

Record-Journal

The Meriden-New Britain-Berlin YMCA is excited to announce the opening of our new infant, toddler and preschool care programs in Berlin. Our Little Huskies program opened recently at Hubbard Elementary School. The Little Spartans program at McGee Middle School is scheduled to open mid-January. Both programs include a play-based learning environment, and lessons are tailored to meet the individual needs of the children.

The Meriden-New Britain-Berlin YMCA’s high quality, affordable child care programs follow the Creative Curriculum and use the TeachingStrategies’ Tadpoles communication system to communicate with parents to show them their child’s daily activities and photos.

Care4Kids is accepted.

“The collaboration with the Berlin Public Schools has been wonderful,” said Tina Valentin, director of Child Care Operations at the Meriden-New Britain-Berlin YMCA. “This is a great opportunity for families to become part of the BPS school community while their children are in YMCA child care. The school staff have been very welcoming and are already working together with our team.”
