Grant awarded to Berlin Equity Action Team

Record-Journal

The Community Foundation of Greater New Britain (CFGNB) approved its first round of grants for 2023, awarding more than $436,000 to a wide variety of programs serving Berlin, New Britain, Plainville and Southington. One of those endowments, a $7,500 capacity-building grant to the Berlin Equity Action Team, will support BEAT programs and activities that will help educate Berlin residents about the town’s abolitionist history and the contributions that ethnic minority groups have made in the community.

The second round of CFGNB grant applications will be accepted this summer. Letters of Intent are due July 1. Visit the “grantmaking” section of the foundation’s website at cfgnb.org.
