This is year No. 12 for the Berlin High School Athletic Hall of Fame.

The late Jim Day, longtime wrestling coach and athletics director at BHS, was the driving force behind the Hall.

Speaking with The Citizen at the first induction ceremony back in 2010, Day said, "This [Hall of Fame] was one of the goals that I put down when I became athletic director. As a matter of fact, it's the last goal that I hadn't reached. So I've gotten everything that I said in the interview done as of tonight."

The induction ceremony for the Hall of Fame Class of 2022 is slated for April 24 at the Aqua Turf in Plantsville.
