CHESHIRE — Firefighters quickly extinguished a tractor trailer truck fire Tuesday afternoon at Bozzuto’s warehouse.

Fire Chief Jack Casner said there were no injuries.  A call reporting the blaze at 278 Schoolhouse Road came in a little after 2 p.m.

Casner said when firefighters arrived they found a truck cab “fully” engulfed in flames. The truck’s trailer did not appear to be damaged. 

The town’s fire marshal and investigators from the state Department of Energy & Environmental Protection were on scene to investigate the cause and determine possible environmental impact.

Attempts to reach Buzzoto’s and a DEEP spokesperson Tuesday afternoon were not successful.
