One of my favorite dishes to bring to holiday dinners and get togethers is my nana’s green bean casserole. Topped with fried onions, this easy side dish is the perfect compliment to everything from turkey to ham, even just by itself (delicious leftovers!) It only has five ingredients and can be made and cooked in the same dish.
Check out the RJ Food & Drink TikTok account for a step-by-step video on how to make this casserole.
4 cans of unsalted cut green beans
2 cans of condensed cream of mushroom soup (make it gluten free by using Pacific Foods Organic Cream of Mushroom)
1 cup of milk (I used unsweetened coconut milk)
2 cups french fried crispy onions (make it gluten free by using Natural Earth Organic Gluten Free French Fried Crispy Onions found on Amazon)
Pepper and/or salt to taste
1.Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2.Dump green beans in a greased 3 qt baking dish.
6.Add pepper and/or salt.
7.Add 1 ½ cups of fried onions.
9.Bake for 20-25 minutes or until bubbling and onions are golden brown.
10.Optional – top with remaining fried onions and boil in the oven until onions are brown.
