Sunday isn’t complete without brunch. The Place 2 Be in West Hartford is the perfect place to celebrate birthdays, new jobs or even just the weekend. Nestled at the corner of Blue Back Square, The Place 2 Be offers Instagram-worthy drinks and entrees.

Start your meal with a luxurious drink. A Frosé Thirst Trap is an icy and refreshing choice topped with your own little rubber duck. The presentation is like an adult Capri Sun, which makes it even more fun. Go bottomless with your option of mimosas, bellinis, or red or white sangria for $20 a person or get a bathtub of sangria to share with the table.

If the alcoholic drinks aren’t your thing, enjoy sweet coffee options like the Vanilla Iced Latte loaded with whipped cream and caramel and a side of powdered sugar and cinnamon.

When it comes to brunch, eggs benedict is always a good idea. At the Place 2 Be, it’s no exception. The Classic Benny is a vibrant dish with a hollandaise sauce you won’t be able to stop licking off the plate. It was nothing like I’ve ever experienced. It was sweet with a shocking punch of paprika with every bite. It became addictive. The Canadian bacon was smaller than I would have liked, but the amount of home fries was very generous.

The most notable part about the Place 2 Be is the vibe and atmosphere. There’s not only gorgeous plates and drinks to look at, but also fun flexible seating and photo opportunities. Seats are offered outside, with tables and booths right on the street covered by umbrellas.

Inside, there are high top tables, bar seating, regular dining tables and egg chairs that hang from the ceiling.

No matter where you sit, you are guaranteed a unique dining experience. Finish off your brunch by taking a picture in the signature bathtub complete with plastic ball bubbles and a ring light for the ultimate Instagram photo.

The weekends are the busiest days at the Place 2 Be, with wait times around one to two hours.

Reservations are not available, however, there is an option for a virtual waitlist where you add your name online, but it is not always accurate in regards to how long it will take or if your table is actually ready.

Also, be sure to choose the correct location. This restaurant has three locations, according to its website. It’s definitely something people need to experience at least once to say that they’ve been there and that’s why it’s great for special occasions and celebrations.
