Frank DiCristina, site manager at allnex-Wallingford, has announced that local food pantry and resource center, Master’s Manna, is the recipient of a $3,000 donation, which stems from the organization’s global donation program.
Designed to assist local businesses affected by COVID-19, the global donation program allows for each of allnex’s sites to determine the best use of funds for their community. To date, local eateries, homeless shelters, and beloved mom and pop small businesses have been the recipients of the much-needed funds that will help to keep them in business throughout the crisis.
Both virtual food donations as well as monetary gifts to Master’s Manna are needed now more than ever as demand continues to increase and grocery store donations have dwindled. Since the onset of COVID-19, dozens of new families, who have never needed to utilize the services of a food pantry, have become regular clients.
In addition to the monetary donation, DiCristina’s team also conducted a You Give Goods drive and recently delivered 456 pounds of food to the volunteers at Master’s Manna.
