New Bat House At Dossin Beach

New Bat House At Dossin Beach

Students in Platt's CT Climate Action Club, in collaboration with the City of Meriden and the QRWA installed a new bat house at Dossin Beach. The bat house can hold 950 bats, particularly big brown bats and little brown bats, which have seen a major population decline in recent years. These bats will help to control the insect population in a 30 mile radius around the house!

This is the culmination of almost two years of work and we are proud to be doing our part for the environment and community!
