Sean Devlin of Wallingford saw a black bear in his backyard on Monday around 5 p.m. All the neighbors were driving by or looking out their windows taking pictures while the bear took down my bird feeder and ate all the birdseed in sight! It was a big spectacle for everybody. The bear then got tired after the meal and climbed about 20 feet up into a tree for a nap. About 30 minutes later he climbed down and slowly made his way back into the woods because we had the neighbors using their car horns and banging sticks together to make enough noise for him to leave. He had a couple ear tags and I notified the DEEP. We hope he’s doing well and not getting into any trouble now HAHA!
