Big Thanks To Hartford Wolfpack’s Ticket Donation to Big Brothers Big Sisters

Six-year-old Zachary, from Middletown, is a Little Brother (mentee) in the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Connecticut community-based program. He wasn’t always a hockey fan, but he definitely is now following a recent visit to the XL Center in Hartford, where he and his Big Brother (adult mentor) Aaron Grover, from Portland, watched the Hartford Wolfpack face off in an early autumn ice tilt against the scrappy Charlotte Checkers. “Zack had a blast,” Aaron says, “and I haven’t had that much fun in a long time.” Zachary and Aaron have been matched for a little less than a year in the Big Brothers Big Sisters program. Aaron is an electrical test engineer at Eversource. Zachary’s in the first grade at Lawrence Elementary School in Middletown. Thanks to a generous donation of four tickets to each of the club’s 36 home games, many lucky “Bigs” and “Littles” - like Zack and Aaron - will have the opportunity to take in months of thrilling hockey action during the Hartford Wolfpack’s 2022-2023 season.
