Wallingford Garden Club Elects New Officers

The members of the Wallingford Garden Club gathered outside the Wallingford Senior Center on Tuesday, Sept. 29 and installed new officers for the 2020-21 season.

Outgoing President Karen Pyskaty welcomed new President Carmelina Villani,   Vice President Kathy Bryson,  Secretary Carol Foley and Shirley Hall, treasurer. Not pictured is corresponding secretary Viya Schenk.  Committee chairs were named as well.

After a short speech from the new president, members enjoyed a boxed lunch courtesy of Violi's Resturant of Meriden.

Also on the agenda was participation in a "trunk treasure"  program. Since thh annual plant sale sponsored by the club  in the spring could not be held due to VOCID-19 outbreak, members brought plants to the meeting and displayed them in their car trunks  to be purchased by other members of the club.  Proceeds went into the club treasury.

The Wallingford Garden Club is a member of the Federated Garden Clubs of Connecticut, In. and the National Garden Clubs, Inc.  The club always welcomes new members.  If you are interested in joining, contact Eileen McMahon at emcmahon062540@gmail.com.
