The Ronald McDonald House

Six hundred new lights shine on a new seven foot tall Christmas tree at the Ronald McDonald House. The tree was generously donated by Cheshire Nursery.

North Haven Garden Club member Lynda O’Donnell decorated the tree with child-themed ornaments - many of which were hand-made by Club members.  The North Haven Garden Club has been decorating the common area and Christmas tree for the holiday season at the Ronald McDonald House for twenty years.

The Ronald McDonald House is conveniently located across from Yale New Haven Children’s Hospital at 860 Howard Ave.  The Ronald McDonald House becomes “home” to families while they seek medical treatment, which is not available elsewhere, at area hospitals for their critically ill children. Families are welcomed with friendly faces, home-cooked meals, and most of all, love and support.

North Haven Garden Club is a member of The Federated Garden Clubs of Connecticut Inc., New England Garden Clubs Inc., and The National Garden Clubs Inc.
