Frank Pepe named assistant superintendent of Southington Public Schools



The Southington Board of Education is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Frank Pepe as the Assistant Superintendent of Schools for the Southington Public School District, effective July 1, 2021.

A long tenured and highly respected Southington Administrator, Mr. Pepe has served as the Principal of Southington High School since July 2019. Prior to Southington High School, he was the Principal at Joseph A. DePaolo Middle School beginning in February 2007 and the Principal at Hamden Middle School in Hamden, CT from June 2002 to February 2007. Mr. Pepe also was an Assistant Principal at Hamden Middle School starting in June 1999. He began his teaching career as a Sixth-grade teacher at Bear Path Elementary School in August of 1992 before moving to Hamden Middle School in June 1995 as a Mathematics teacher and then a Science teacher in 1996. Frank resides with his wife Janet and three sons in Cheshire.

Throughout his career, Mr. Pepe has exhibited an unrivaled work ethic dedicated to improving the educational experiences of children and families. The Board of Education, Administrative Leadership Team and the entire staff of the Southington Public Schools are delighted to know that Frank Pepe will employ his considerable knowledge and talents as the new Assistant Superintendent of the Southington Public Schools.
