The Wallingford Rotary Club, together with event presenter Masonicare, announces its fifth annual Flags for Heroes campaign.

The goal is to fly 200 flags on the hill at Masonicare from Memorial Day to Independence Day.

Individuals and organizations are invited to sponsor one or more flags to honor their heroes. Heroes are people we admire for their courage, outstanding achievements, noble qualities, and/or the way they practice random acts of kindness. Heroes may be veterans, active service members, first responders, teachers, coaches, essential workers, friends, family members and good neighbors.

All sponsors, family and friends are invited to join the Rotary Club of Wallingford for a Flags for Heroes ceremony overlooking the flags at Masonicare on Saturday, June 24, at 11 a.m. All honored heroes will be announced at the ceremony.

Proceeds from Flags for Heroes will benefit the Wallingford Foundation which supports the community through special projects and grants to local organizations.
