The Ulbrich Boys & Girls Club (UBGC) has carried the success of 2021 into the New Year with the addition of a new full-time position!
Brooke Grand has joined the leadership team as Director of Programs and Engagement. Grand will be responsible for directing and managing overall daily operations under the control of the UBGC with the primary concern for comprehensive outcome-driven programs and services at our Wallingford location.
Grand has been involved with the Boys & Girls Club since she was six years old. As a member, Brooke became intensely involved at the club. She served as president of Torch Club, the tween service and leadership group and later was president of the teen leadership group, Keystone Club. When she turned 15, she became a staff member at the Boys & Girls Club of the Lower Naugatuck Valley.
During her college years, Brooke was named the Northeast Youth of the Year for Boys & Girls Club of America (BGCA) and had the opportunity to travel across the country speaking on behalf of over four million club youth. She also completed an internship at BGCA headquarters in Atlanta, GA where she worked with the Character and Leadership team. In 2018, Brooke graduated from Southern Connecticut State University with a bachelor's degree in Business Management and Leadership Development.
