MERIDEN — Cali is a 10-month-old female Labrador/Boxer mix up for adoption at the Meriden Humane Society, 311 Murdock Ave.
“Cali would be a great addition to a family looking for their four-legged missing piece,” said Danielle Consiglio, the shelter’s animal care coordinator.
Cali came to the shelter a couple of weeks ago because her former owners were going through a divorce and neither could take her.
Consiglio described her as “just a bundle of love.”
“She has a never-ending supply of energy since she is still a puppy, so she will do well with having an active handler,” Consiglio said.
Cali will need to be “slowly introduced to strangers until her confidence has been built up,” Consiglio said. Cali weighs 53 pounds and would do best in a home with older children as she has a tendency to jump on people, she added.
Cali tested well with other dogs and cats, but will need “a proper introduction with any other animals,” Consiglio said.
