Electrical fire at Hall Avenue auto body shop in Meriden

MERIDEN — Eversource Energy cut power inside a Hall Avenue auto body shop following an electrical fire Wednesday morning.

The fire was reported about 11:45 a.m. at Zoel’s Body & Auto Center, 19 Hall Ave. Fire Marshal Steve Trella said the fire occurred in an electrical panel and was knocked down about 11:55 a.m. There were no reported injuries.

Eversource Energy was requested to the scene to cut power in the building.

One lane of traffic on Hall Avenue was closed while crews were on scene.
