Police seek truck involved in fatal hit and run on the Berlin Turnpike in Meriden

MERIDEN — Police are looking for a box truck involved in a fatal hit-and-run accident on the Berlin Turnpike late Friday night.

Cynthia Daigle, 53, of 1800 N. Broad St., was transported to Hartford Hospital where she died on Saturday morning, according to a police press release.

Daigle was found on the ground with a severe head injury in the area of the State Fire Academy, 2014 N. Broad St., around 11:10 p.m. 

The press release said the vehicle involved was a “white, larger style, box truck” with the word “BUDGET” written in blue lettering on the side. It should have damage to the passenger side mirror and was last seen traveling south on the Berlin Turnpike.
