MERIDEN — Police are investigating after a man and woman were brought to the hospital with gunshot wounds on Saturday. 

Police responded to MidState Medical Center on Saturday for a report of two people with gunshot wounds, according to a post on the department’s Facebook page. A man and woman, who have not been identified, both had non-life threatening injuries, police said. The man had a gunshot wound to his side and the woman had a gunshot wound to her leg, police noted. 

The location of the shooting is known to police but not being release publicly, due to the investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Fonda at 203-630-4178.
