Meriden police arrest man on sexual assault charges

MERIDEN — Police have arrested a man on charges of sexual assault, risk of injury to a minor and interfering with police.

Daniel Rodas, 22, of 53 4th St., Meriden, was arrested Tuesday on a warrant following an investigation by the Special Crimes Unit, the Crime Suppression Unit and the Major Crimes Unit.

Rodas faces charges of second-degree sexual assault, two counts of risk of injury/ impairing the morals of a minor, and two counts of interfering with police.

The Police Department is working with Homeland Security Investigations and Immigration and Customs Enforcement who have placed a detainer on Rodas.

Rodas is currently held on $150,000 bond and scheduled to appear in Meriden Superior Court on Jan. 15. According to the criminal clerk, Rodas file is sealed. No other information is available.
