Meriden police investigating shooting, shots fired incidents

MERIDEN — Police are investigating after a man was shot in the chest and arm on Saturday. 

Police responded to MidState Medical Center on Saturday around 7:15 p.m. for a report of a man with a gunshot wound, Police Chief Roberto Rosado said in a statement. The injured man was airlifted to another hospital with non life threatening injuries to his chest, police said.

Police found a crime scene in the area of Springdale and Windsor avenues. Detectives continue to investigate. The victim’s identity was not released.

In a separate incident around 7:40 p.m. on Saturday police received 911 calls reporting gunshots in the area of Cobblestone Lane. There were no reported injuries, but a parked vehicle was struck, Rosado said.
