MERIDEN — Police are investigating after a car was struck by gunfire on Hinman Street Monday night. 

Police responded to the area of 19 ½ Hinman St. around 6:40 p.m. for a report of gunshots, police said. Officers found one vehicle with gunshot damage. No injuries were reported. 

The case is being investigated by the detective bureau. No other information was immediately available.
